Delicious, fresh, locally designed and prepared food sets Spearfish apart from other communities in the region. We enjoy visiting restaurants around the region, but Spearfish has the highest density of creative chefs, brew master, and coffee roasters.
We also have a lot of local better-than-organic farms, where you can find delicious vegetables and fruit that have been lovingly raised by the nicest people you could meet.
On the wilder side, you can forage food right from the forest – my favorite is raspberry season! We have edible greens, mushrooms (including morels), some breadroots, and loads of medicinal herbs.
